SDI Open Water Scuba Instructor Course

The SDI Instructor Development Course is designed to provide active Divemasters and Assistant Instructors with the necessary knowledge to safely practice as an Open Water Scuba Instructor. This program consists of two sections: the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and the Instructor Evaluation Course (IEC).
1. Minimum age 18
2. Certified diver for at least six months
3. Log 100 dives across a variety of environments and depths
4. Certified as an SDI Divemaster, SDI Assistant Instructor, or equivalent
5. Current First Response Adult and Child Emergency Care Certification and Oxygen Management Provider Certification (where permitted by local law), or provide proof of equivalent certification. *Note: A First Response course may be combined with an Instructor Development Course (IDC) by a qualified Course Director or Instructor Trainer.
