Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have at least 50 dives with a CCR unit. Cave Level 1 Certification (CCR Cavern) includes classroom instruction and land-based training, four practical dives, and instruction on basic cave diving knowledge, hazard recognition, stress management, etc. This course covers management, main reel usage, line and directional marker usage, communication methods, fin kicking techniques, and environmental considerations.
